The Guinean government and the African Development Bank (AfDB) have set up an ambitious program to transform the agricultural sector, based on the Agri-Food Transformation Zones (AFTZ) approach, in line with the “Feed Africa” strategy.
The first two AFTZs will be built in Boké and Kankan provinces. Aligned with the country’s strategic priorities, the program will foster the processing of agricultural crops, enhance yields in high‑potential value chains, and reduce dependence on imported agri‑food products, thereby strengthening the efficiency and resilience of Guinean agriculture.
