PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The study of the Integrated Marine and Coastal Zone Management Plan (IMZMP) of the Republic of Guinea reprensents an innovative initiative for the planning and governance of an area that is complex, rich, coveted, fragile, and vulnerable—one that is undergoing profound social change, dynamic economic activity, and significant natural transformations.
The overarching objective of the project is to equip the national administration and local authorities with a territorial planning framework that promotes a coherent, integrated, and inclusive approach to the sustainable management and use of marine and coastal zone.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
- Phase 1: Baseline assessment and development of the management strategy for the Guinean marine and coastal zone
- Phase 2: Development, analysis, and comparison of coastal zone evolution scenarios, in consultation with stakeholders
- Phase 3: Preparation of an Integrated Marine and Coastal Zone Management Plan for the Republic of Guinea
